School is officially out for the summer and today we hit the trails! Ok, so we hit a local trail that Ive already talked about and been on, but this time I took the kiddos out for a test hike. Translation… I took them out to see if they would whine and complain on a less than 1 mile hike. So how did it go? Fabulous!

The girls loved every moment of it and asked when we could do it again. Score! This can be a doable thing for us! A big change from years prior. While it was a cool and cloudy day for June, they loved seeing all of the newly blooming flowers and the berries that were starting to grow. Sylvia, the old tree, was fascinating to them and they had fun imagining what it looked like before it lost its top.

It was a great experiment, with a fabulous outcome, which means we can do some hiking this summer!
